Role Overview: The Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and partners, and driving revenue growth for the Marley One line of functional mushroom products. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a proven track record of success in sales and business development, who can operate autonomously and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement a strategic business development plan for the assigned region to achieve growth targets for Marley One products.
Identify, engage, and establish partnerships with potential clients and stakeholders within the Region, including health and wellness retailers, distributors, and corporate wellness programs.
Conduct market research to identify new opportunities and stay informed about industry trends and competitor activity in the functional mushroom and wellness sector.
Build and maintain a strong network of contacts, attending industry events and networking opportunities to promote Marley One.
Lead and manage the full sales cycle, from lead generation to closing deals, including proposal creation and contract negotiation.
Collaborate with internal teams, such as marketing and product to align business development efforts with company objectives.
Provide regular reporting on business development activities, progress, and performance metrics to senior management.
Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and engagement through excellent communication and relationship management.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is a plus.
3-5 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role, preferably in the wellness or health product sector.
Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets and business growth objectives.
Strong understanding of the assigned region, market dynamics, and cultural nuances.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Self-starter with a results-oriented mindset and the ability to work independently.
Proficiency in CRM software such as Pipedrive.
Willingness to travel within the Region as required.
