About the job

Are you a high-performing talent acquisition professional looking for an opportunity to make an impact in a rapidly growing, award-winning, and well-funded SaaS business that is disrupting a multi-billion-dollar industry? **

The Role

We are looking for a Talent Acquisition Manager who will truly lead the recruitment function internally, creating our talent strategy and process to help us scale our teams with intention. You are a trailblazer who enjoys building out the strategy and framework. You are also highly connected in the recruitment industry, a self-starter who is willing to lead the vision and do the recruitment activities necessary to hire top talent globally. Reporting to the VP of People & Places, you’ll be instrumental in defining our candidate and client value proposition while getting to define how we elevate our talent function internally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of talent acquisition processes and strategies to support the recruitment and retention of top talent, with the majority of hires in engineering, success, and sales focused primarily in US and Australia, with hires also in Canada and UK
  • Partner with leaders (your clients) within Karbon to provide guidance, coaching, and support in all recruitment matters, developing interviewing skills and scaffolding them as needed
  • Lead the full cycle recruitment efforts for the highest priority requisitions - screening, interviewing, reference checks, and providing recommendations for business leaders
  • Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Talent Acquisition globally, ensuring operational excellence for every step of the recruitment process (new positions intake, JDs, pre-screening, interview scorecards, offer communication, etc.)
  • Grow and maintain quality pipelines of qualified candidates by developing strategies to build talent pipelines and effectively raise or lower the bar by adapting to hiring needs for future key role while ensuring you are communicating to all candidates (regardless of status) every step of the way
  • Lead Karbon’s candidate value proposition (CVP) and partner with key stakeholders (such as marketing, P&P, and senior leadership) to advocate for contemporary and unique practices to differentiate Karbon in the talent market
  • Fully utilize Greenhouse to the greatest degree, being able to easily report on key metrics like ‘time to hire’ etc.
  • Manage projects aimed at enhancing recruitment processes and employment brand that support business objectives
  • Ensure the timely processing of all external recruitment programs (reference and background checks etc.) and provide results to hiring managers while offering an understanding of the results
  • Drive improvements to increase the quality of hires (measured by objective metrics) through data-driven experimentation
  • Leverage and analyze data and recruitment Reports to effectively partner with the people team and broader business
  • Find effective ways to reduce the cost per hire and have a developing knack for understanding financial metrics associated with hiring
  • Lead projects to transform the recruitment function. Examples of possible projects are: – Defining operational excellence in the recruitment process – Introducing new assessment tools – Building an upskilling program for hiring managers – Experimenting with different recruitment processes or tools such as AI

You are ideal for this role if you

  • Thrive in ambiguity: You are joining an early stage (series B) where priorities can (and will) shift, and you’ll need to adapt quickly.
  • Plan ahead: You work with the team and business to forecast needs and develop a hiring plan that will accelerate the company
  • Are honest, trustworthy, and ultimately a good person: You build meaningful and credible relationships with your teammates and key stakeholders, leading by example and not ego.
  • Like working with numbers: You aren’t afraid to dive into spreadsheets and develop meaningful dashboards, always tinkering with ways to improve.
  • Exemplify excellence: You hold yourself to high standards, seeking both personal growth and also growing your team via coaching and thoughtful career conversations.

Experience and Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience in a senior TA or Manager role
  • Global and either technical or SaaS recruitment experience a must
  • Previous experience using Greenhouse or similar to its fullest capacity
  • Experience building a recruitment process to support scale
  • Willing to be agile across high-level tasks and full-cycle recruitment activities
  • Excellent ability to negotiate employment terms
  • Able to operate autonomously and deliver exceptional client service
  • A true networker who attends industry events and able to promote our company brand
  • Solid understanding of the recruitment process and candidate journey
  • Able to effectively collaborate with functional teams across the company and external partners such as creative agencies.
  • Strong leadership, communications, and consulting abilities.
  • Passionate about building a diverse and inclusive culture.
  • Experience using full G-suite software and MS Word and Excel.
  • Acute attention to detail and a high bar for quality.

Why work with us?

  • Ability to lead the function and create a process you believe in and can sell to potential candidates
  • Be part of a fast-growing company that firmly believes in promoting high performers from within
  • Gain global experience across USA, Philippines, Australia, New Zealand, UK, and Canada
