About the roleAs the Engineering Manager of SlideShare, you’ll lead a talented team with an entrepreneurial spirit, guiding them to take on new, high-impact challenges. You'll help foster and maintain the scrappiness that has driven SlideShare's success, while bringing expertise and process to enable scalable, sustainable growth. In this role, you’ll play a key part in shaping the team’s technical strategy, balancing the need for fast-paced execution with a commitment to long-term excellence and quality.

As the Engineering Manager for SlideShare, you:

• Enjoy partnering with product and design to creatively solve for business needs, and you actively align engineering output with company objectives.
• Partner with GenAI, ML, and Infrastructure teams, as well as other engineering disciplines, to deliver new experiences for SlideShare users.

We’re looking for someone with:

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with previous people management experience, ideally within high-growth environments
• Technical depth in web engineering with familiarity in technologies relevant to SlideShare’s stack.
• Strong track record of building and upleveling engineering teams, establishing sustainable development practices, and delivering on roadmap goals.
• Ability to balance short-term deliverables with long-term strategic thinking, navigating both daily challenges and big-picture goals.
• Proven commitment to mentorship, team growth, and career development for individual contributors.
• Experience with React, Ruby, and/or GraphQL is a plus.
