Role Overview

We are seeking a Software Engineer to take on the critical role of building and maintaining internal tools, developing data acquisition systems, creating efficient data pipelines, and designing mobile applications that connect seamlessly with our laser weeding machines. The ideal candidate will have expertise in the MERN stack, cloud platforms like AWS and Azure, CI/CD pipelines, and proficiency in Python and React Native for cross-platform development.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop internal tools and software solutions to streamline workflows across departments, including robotics, hardware, and operations.
• Develop and implement software for a robust Data Acquisition Box, integrating hardware and software components to collect and process field data.
• Build scalable and efficient data pipelines to manage, capture, and store large volumes of data from field operations.
• Develop a mobile application (using React Native) that interfaces with our machines, enabling users to monitor, control, and receive real-time data from the devices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of software solutions with robotics hardware and machine operations.
• Implement cloud-based solutions using AWS or Azure for data storage, processing, and machine-to-cloud communication.
• Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines to ensure smooth deployment and updates for all software systems.
• Continuously test, debug, and optimize applications to ensure reliability and high performance in real-world agricultural environments.
• Generate comprehensive technical documentation for software systems, APIs, and mobile applications.
• Stay updated on the latest technologies and frameworks to improve existing systems and bring innovative solutions to the company.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: 2+ years of software engineering experience, with a proven track record in building end-to-end systems.
• Proficiency in the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, Node.js) for developing web applications and internal tools.
• Expertise in cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure, with experience in deploying scalable systems.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines for automated build, testing, and deployment.
• Proficiency in Python for developing backend services and working with data pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with React Native for developing cross-platform mobile applications.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and debug complex software systems.
• Familiarity with IoT devices, hardware-software integration, or machine communication protocols is a plus.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of edge computing and real-time data processing for field applications.
• Experience with agricultural or industrial IoT systems.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools and frameworks.
• Strong understanding of database management, both SQL and NoSQL.
