About the job
About Us:
Healthcare is broken because we forgot what matters: the patient.
We have more health data than ever in history. Yet seniors still navigate a maze of confusion, inefficiency, and frustration. This gap between what's possible and what exists isn't just a problem — it's an opportunity to transform lives.
At Concord, we're building the intelligence that healthcare has always needed. Not by adding complexity, but by stripping away everything that doesn't serve the patient.
Our team is small, highly motivated, and focused on product excellence. We're looking for broad thinkers who are unafraid to think big in a broken space. Engineers are encouraged to work across multiple areas of the company, and as a result, all engineers share the title "Member of Technical Staff."
We operate with a flat organizational structure. All employees are expected to be hands-on and to contribute directly to the company’s mission. Leadership is given to those who show initiative and consistently deliver excellence. Work ethic and strong prioritization skills are important.
Concord does not have recruiters. Every application is reviewed directly by the founding team.
Concord is backed by top clinicians, researchers and policymakers. Our advisors include the founder of Anthem (now Elevance), former administrator of the Center for Medicare & Medicaid Services, former Asst. Secretary of HHS, and a Comissioner on the National Security Comission of Emerging Biotechnology.
About the Role:
"A computational process is indeed much like a sorcerer’s idea of a spirit. It cannot be seen or touched. It is not composed of matter at all. However, it is very real. It can perform intellectual work. It can answer questions. It can affect the world by disbursing money at a bank or by controlling a robot arm in a factory. The programs we use to conjure processes are like a sorcerer’s spells."
—Abelson and Sussman, Structure and Interpretation of Computer Programs (1984)
