Job Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Technical Recruiter Intern to join our dynamic HR/recruitment team. As a Technical Recruiter Intern, you will support the recruitment process for technical roles across various teams in the company, working closely with senior recruiters and hiring managers to attract and assess top talent in fields such as software engineering, data science, IT, and other technical disciplines.
This internship offers a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in technical recruiting, improve sourcing and interviewing skills, and build a deep understanding of the hiring landscape in the tech industry.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in sourcing, screening, and identifying top talent for technical positions.
- Utilize job boards, social media, and networking sites (LinkedIn, GitHub, Stack Overflow) to find potential candidates.
- Review resumes and applications to assess qualifications, experience, and fit for open technical positions.
- Conduct initial video interviews to assess candidates’ technical backgrounds, motivations, and cultural fit.
- Schedule interviews with candidates and coordinate logistics for the recruitment team.
- Maintain and update candidate records in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
- Help create and post job descriptions for open technical roles.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to define hiring requirements and talent needs.
- Assist in creating and maintaining a pool of passive candidates for future hiring needs.
- Provide timely and professional communication to candidates throughout the interview process.
- Participate in recruitment events, job fairs, and meetups to help build the company’s talent pipeline.
Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Human Resources, Business, Communications, or a related field.
- Strong interest in recruiting and talent acquisition, especially in the tech industry.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Google Workspace, and familiarity with ATS or recruiting platforms (e.g., Greenhouse, Lever, LinkedIn Recruiter) is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment, as well as independently.
- Detail-oriented and a quick learner with a proactive attitude.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous internship or work experience in recruitment or human resources.
- Familiarity with technical roles (software engineers, data scientists, etc.) and technical recruiting practices.
- Knowledge of online sourcing tools and strategies for identifying tech talent.
