Firmware Product Manager

We are seeking an experienced Firmware Product Manager (PM) to coordinate collaboration between our internal product team and our partners. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in low-power Bluetooth firmware development, health sensors (PPG, temperature, etc.), and project management, with the ability to troubleshoot critical firmware issues and facilitate smooth communication across teams. This position will be critical to ensuring our products maintain high performance and reliability.

• Manage the firmware development lifecycle, including planning, execution, and delivery, ensuring alignment with project timelines and goals.
• Work closely with firmware engineers to troubleshoot and resolve critical issues related to Bluetooth connectivity, sensor integration, and algorithm performance. You must have good experience with the Bluetooth technology stack working on low-power devices.
• Serve as the primary point of contact between Noise and our OEM/ODM partners, facilitating clear communication and timely resolution of firmware-related challenges.
• Implement best practices for firmware testing and validation to ensure that all firmware updates meet our quality standards and user requirements.
• Maintain comprehensive firmware specifications, project plans, and issue resolution documents to ensure transparency and facilitate knowledge sharing.
• Work with hardware, software, and product teams to ensure seamless integration of firmware with overall product functionality.
• Identify potential risks and issues in firmware development and proactively implement mitigation strategies. You must have a good understanding of various low-power Bluetooth chipsets and single-core and multi-core MCUs.
• Stay up to date on industry trends and advances in Bluetooth technology and firmware development to drive innovation and improvement in our products.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field, Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum 4 years of firmware development and project management experience, especially in consumer electronics or wearable devices.

Technical Skills:

• In-depth understanding of Bluetooth technology and wireless communication protocols.
• Familiarity with low-power device design and health/fitness sensor integration.
• Experience with firmware debugging and development tools.
• Proven experience managing cross-functional projects with strong organizational and leadership skills. Jira experience preferred.
• Good verbal and written communication skills to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Ability to communicate in English preferred.
• Strong analytical skills and proactive problem-solving skills.
