About the job

We are seeking a seasoned Fulfillment Manager with deep expertise in recommerce, logistics, and inventory management to play a critical role in our operations. In this role, you’ll oversee the entire inventory flow, warehouse management, and logistics execution, ensuring our fulfillment processes are optimized for efficiency and accuracy. You will be responsible for enhancing workflow and implementing strategic improvements that reduce costs and drive productivity. As part of our fast-growing startup, this role offers equity incentives to reward key contributors who impact long-term success and value creation.

Recommerce is transforming how products are consumed, making goods more accessible, sustainable, and environmentally friendly by extending their lifecycles. Our team is at the forefront of this movement, reducing waste and meeting the growing demand for sustainable alternatives. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a meaningful mission while directly influencing our operations and growth.

Mindset & Approach

  • Startup mindset: Thrives in ambiguity and shows comfort with self-direction in a dynamic environment.
  • Adaptable: Able to wear multiple hats and work independently.
  • Grounded and grassroots: Willing to be on-site and engage directly with clients and partners.
  • Process-oriented: Has a strong foundation in logistics, planning, and inventory management, focusing on efficiency and organization.
  • Practical and hands-on: Skilled in developing playbooks, planning pickups, and conducting inventory assessments and pricing.

Key Skills

  • Relationship-building: Able to negotiate partnerships, communicate with suppliers, and secure deals, including small-time contracts and partnerships with recyclers or bulk buyers.
  • Inventory and pricing acumen: Ability to evaluate inventory and pricing for resale, ensuring profitability.
  • Cross-functional collaboration: Works closely with Operations and Program Managers, managing multiple fulfillment and supply chain logistics aspects.
  • Strategic partnerships: Capable of developing partnerships with an eye on supply, demand, and business development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inventory Flow Management: Ensure accurate, efficient inventory movement throughout the fulfillment process—from intake to final shipment—collaborating closely with the Program Operations Manager to prevent stock-outs.
  • Logistics Oversight: Lead logistics planning and execution to optimize cost-effectiveness, timeliness, and quality in deliveries.
  • Warehouse Operations: Oversee daily warehouse activities, upholding high standards for safety, organization, and productivity. Improve inventory procurement by strengthening vendor relationships, assessing performance, and minimizing lead times.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process enhancements that increase fulfillment speed, efficiency, and accuracy.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with procurement, customer service, and product teams to ensure fulfillment operations align with business goals and customer expectations.
  • Qualifications
  • Experience: 5–10 years in fulfillment, logistics, or warehousing, ideally within recommerce, e-commerce, or startup environments.
  • Skills: Strong organizational, analytical, and continuous improvement skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), as well as inventory and warehouse management systems.
  • Attention to Detail: Highly detail-oriented, with strong business-level communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Start-Up Mindset: Adaptable, proactive, and resourceful in a fast-paced, evolving environment, committed to innovation and resilience.

Compensation range: $90,000-$130,000k + equity (stock options)

Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.

About Us
At Gone.com, we believe in unlocking hidden value in the everyday items we no longer use. In American homes alone, there’s over half a trillion dollars worth of unused goods gathering dust, and it’s time we changed that. With over $590 billion in unused goods—$4,500 worth per household across 131 million households—we aim to make extracting value easier and faster for you.

The overall recommerce market is growing more than four times faster than the traditional retail industry, highlighting the growing demand for sustainable, circular solutions. Yet, decluttering and redistributing unused items remains time-consuming and inefficient, especially when you have a lot to clear out quickly. That’s where we come in. gone.com reimagines the process, helping people quickly, efficiently, and profitably rid their homes of excess goods.

Our Vision
Building a Preference for Recommerce Supply Chain
The global shift towards recommerce, where repurposing becomes the industry standard, is driving us forward. We’re fostering a circular economy by offering convenient, customer-focused, and elevated services that make it easier than ever to give new life to gently used items.

Our Mission
Unlocking Value While Minimizing Environmental Impact
Our technology reimagines the entire landscape of consumer goods by providing a turnkey system to manage the removal and redistribution operations of stagnant, gently used items. Together with our partners, we are solving for the need to drive preference for recommerce and reduce waste in our local neighborhoods.

Macro Trends Shaping Our Mission:

  • 25% of U.S. households with a 2-car garage can’t park their cars inside due to clutter.
  • 10% of the U.S. population rents storage units. Despite our homes being 30% larger than in the 1950s, family sizes are shrinking.
  • The average American now moves 7 times in their lifetime, often accumulating more things along the way.
  • Baby boomers, totaling 72 million people, are downsizing and faced with managing large collections of possessions.

Gone.com is driven to solve these challenges by creating a seamless system that allows you to reclaim the value in your items while minimizing waste. Together with our partners, we are reshaping the landscape of consumer goods and supporting a more sustainable, recommerce-driven future.
