About the role
As Commercial Lead on our team, you will lead our go-to-market with enterprise life sciences and be end responsible for revenue goals. This role is crucial to ensuring Tandem can convert our growing network and product portfolio into a large and rapidly scaling business. You will directly own our biopharma partnerships, ensuring that we are expanding with existing customers and signing new ones. You will also drive our pricing and contracting, product marketing, and strategic partnerships, with a need to flex across data, product, and sales domains.
This is a demanding role, with a high level of autonomy and responsibility. You will be expected to "act like an owner" and commit yourself to Tandem's success. If you join, you will:
Become an expert in both Tandem’s full surface area and the surrounding industry landscapes
Deeply understand the strategy, goals, and needs of our customers to ensure that we know how to drive value for them
Identify, engage, and convert new life sciences partnerships, establishing Tandem as a critical strategic partner and owning the end-to-end sales cycle
Own relationships with biopharma customers, supporting implementation, presenting on performance and new capabilities, and ensuring overall success
Explore, evaluate, and execute on new opportunities for the company, including strategic partnerships and new products and services
Work closely with the rest of our team and CEO to make business decisions as we balance speed of growth and long-term profitability
We’ll be most excited if you have:
5+ years of experience working on a team that required analytical problem-solving, commercial business development, and outcome ownership (e.g., fast-growing startup, consulting, finance, a 0 -> 1 business line at a high-performing organization)
Technical background and/or experience working with complex data (at minimum the role requires learning SQL and low-code tools)
Strong written and verbal communication that allows you to be an effective participant in both internal debates and external relationships
Track record of moving quickly, finding shortcuts, and going to unreasonable lengths to deliver on goals
High NPS with your former teammates
