Our client, a pioneering IoT software and hardware company, is at the forefront of innovative technology, making a significant impact on the healthcare industry. They are seeking a talented Lead Java Software Engineer to join their new team in a collaborative, tech-driven environment focused on cutting-edge projects and code development.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead software development teams as a senior technical leader, ideally in IoT applications built with Java and AWS tools.
• Work in a role similar to IoT/Java/Smart Device Applications within a software or mixed hardware-software company.
• Utilize core Java, IoT software applications, and AWS IoT tools such as Greengrass, IoT Core, IoT Events, and Device Manager.
• Preferably have experience with AWS CI/CD tools and/or Terraform.

Qualifications:
• Experience in smart-IOT applications. In terms of smart-IoT devices, ideally virtual assistant type devices (like amazon alexa) or another type of iot-smart device.
• 5- 7 years of experience in Java and SQL.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
• Proven experience in a similar hands-on technical leadership role, particularly in healthcare software, with knowledge of HIPAA, HL7, or related applications being advantageous.
• Healthcare industry experience. Would be a plus.
• Experience mentoring and coaching software engineers, providing guidance and support throughout the development process.
• Demonstrated ability to take ownership as the technical leader for the creation, setup, and ongoing maintenance of a high-volume, high-availability cloud-based multi-platform site.
Preferred Skills:
• Experience with TypeScript and React.
• Proficiency in PostgreSQL databases.
• Familiarity with AWS GenAI.
