About The RoleAs the HRIS Specialist, you will have the opportunity to own and elevate the existing Workday configuration. You’ll partner with the P&C team and senior business stakeholders to continue to drive continuous improvement & enhancement of Workday.
You will be a functional subject matter expert on the Workday system as well as a project manager who can drive the project plan, configuration, testing, training and change management of both new modules and existing modules. You will also be responsible for providing day-to-day support for ongoing maintenance and improvements to Workday. This is a 12-month contract with the potential to extend or become permanent.
What You'll Be Doing
- Project Management
- Responsible for the continuous improvement and enhancement required to leverage existing modules.
- Assist in end-to-end scoping, configuration, and testing of system change requests.
- Support the P&C team with change management, training requirements and communication regarding any Workday process changes.
- Collaborate with the P&C team on designing and delivering training to ensure all Managers and employees are fully aware of their responsibilities within the system, and how to get the most out of Workday.
- Responsible for Workday Release Management, providing recommendations on the improvement of the Workday system, and related processes, and sharing key lessons learned.
Where required, manage the implementation of new modules within Workday.
Systems
Responsible for the maintenance and continuous improvement of Workday modules including Core HCM, Absence, Talent and Performance, Learning, Advanced Compensation, and Reporting (plus any additional modules added).
Investigate and address BAU queries, troubleshoot and provide prompt support to system users.
Maintain system configuration including, business processes, organizations, notifications, creating new locations, Cost Centers, Sup Orgs, job catalog, security set up and other areas as required.
Configure complex dashboards and reports within the Workday system.
Run and troubleshoot EIBs.
Test, validate and implement Business Process changes in Workday, as processes evolve.
Own the testing, validation and implementation of Workday bi-annual system releases and any future upgrades/enhancements.
Stakeholder Engagement
Execute a stakeholder engagement strategy to optimize the implementation and success of the Workday Implementation.
Partner closely with the P&C team to continuously improve Workday Service Delivery and ensure an engaging experience for employees and stakeholders.
Partner with key users to understand pain points and identify opportunities to improve processes and gain efficiencies.
What We Are Looking For
- Comprehensive experience and understanding of Workday HRIS, specific experience with Workday HCM module required (experience implementing HR Systems is a plus).
- Previous experience in training, support management and end-user requirements.
- Project Management & Project Delivery experience.
- Experience in the development of key management information and reporting.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and re-prioritise to meet business requirements.
- Effective stakeholder management skills and the ability to communicate technical/complex information to a broad audience, both written and verbally.
- An understanding of project management and HR processes in complex and challenging organisations.
