Principal Engineer

Job Brief:

Our client is seeking a dynamic individual to lead their team, ensuring the delivery of effective and efficient services aligned with business objectives. The ideal candidate will oversee a team responsible for planning, development, and implementation activities, while maintaining compliance with standards and policies.

Responsibilities:

Lead the technical function, overseeing planning, development, design, engineering, and implementation activities.

Define and execute multi-year roadmaps aligned with technical strategy and business objectives.

Manage end-to-end software development lifecycle, including design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.

Stay up to date with emerging trends and technologies in the field.

Support operational teams in determining material resources and training needs, and maintain information exchange relationships.

Requirements and skills:

Expertise in programming and scripting languages such as Python and Bash.

Proficiency in database technologies like Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MySQL.

Familiarity with Unix and Linux-based server architectures.

Previous experience in leading development teams.

Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

Knowledge of telecommunication environments is essential.

Experience with quality assurance frameworks like ISO27001 is advantageous.
