Job Description:

OLE is seeking a few proactive Mobile Engineering Interns who are comfortable with Android Studio and have some experience in Kotlin or Java to join our team. As a Mobile Engineering Intern, you will contribute to the development and maintenance of our Android applications.

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the development and improvement of our Android applications.
  • Write clean, readable code and documentation, with feedback from senior engineers.
  • Collaborate with the team to keep tasks moving and communicate about your progress.
  • Troubleshoot and debug issues with support from senior engineers, using your analytical skills and problem-solving to improve the app over time.
  • You’ll be mentored by our Senior Android Engineer and supported by the CTO.

Requirements:

  • Some experience in Kotlin or Java
  • Comfortable with Android Studio, Android SDK, and other relevant tools, demonstrating a foundation in mobile app development.
  • Familiarity with mobile app design patterns and architecture.
  • Familiarity with version control system and tools such as Git and GitHub.
  • Ability to work remotely and manage time effectively, communicating regularly about your progress and availability.
  • Experience with Linux and Raspberry Pi is a plus, but not required.
