As we scale our platform, we are seeking a highly skilled Founding Engineer to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in building our tech stack and shaping the future of our platform.

What You’ll Do
As the Founding Engineer at Evolv Fit, you’ll wear multiple hats, working across the full stack and taking ownership of both development and deployment processes:

App Development: Lead the development of our mobile app using React Native for both iOS and Android.

Web Platform: Build and enhance web components using Next.js and React.

Backend Engineering: Design and maintain scalable back-end services using Nest.js (or Node.js) with MongoDB.

DevOps & Infrastructure: Set up and manage CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP), and ensure the platform’s reliability and scalability.

Database Management: Work with MongoDB to optimize data models, queries, and overall performance.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with product, design, and fitness experts to align tech solutions with business goals.

Startup Leadership: Be a core member of our founding team, with the potential to grow into a leadership role as the company scales.

What We’re Looking For:

2+ years of full-stack development experience.
1+ years of experience with React Native for mobile app development (iOS & Android).
Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript.
Experience with React & Next.js for front-end development.
Backend experience with Node.js/Nest.js and MongoDB.
DevOps expertise: Experience with CI/CD, cloud platforms (AWS/GCP), Docker, Kubernetes, and server management.
Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and integration with third-party services.
UI/UX Design Skills: Ability to build intuitive and user-friendly interfaces.
Problem Solver: Ability to quickly adapt and solve complex challenges.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

Experience with Figma, Tailwind CSS, and design systems.
Knowledge of serverless architecture and microservices.
Experience with Supabase and other modern back-end frameworks.
Prior experience in a startup environment or as a technical co-founder.
