What will you do as a Product Manager at WisdomCircle?
- Advocate for users:
- We have two key users: retired professionals who we call WisGen (short for Wisdom Generation) and hiring managers from organizations that are looking for senior talent. As a Product Manager, you’ll be our users' voice, championing the little things that will create delightful experiences for them.
- You’ll set up interviews with WisGen and Hiring Managers, feedback & testing sessions to understand what’s working and what’s not and share insights with the team, to ensure we continuously improve our offerings.
- Requirement Gathering and Documentation:
- You’ll identify and prioritize the problems to go after, find the root causes for those problems, and conceptualize potential solutions using no-code tools to experiment and conduct user research.
- You’ll write detailed product requirements documents (PRD) outlining the requirements, expected impact, and key metrics to track success - helping your development team understand the purpose and functionality behind the build.
- You’ll thoroughly test stories in the test environment to ensure they function as expected and meet all requirements before release. Any issues identified will be documented and reported to the tech team for resolution.
- You’ll monitor and measure the impact of released features after each sprint, ensuring continuous alignment with product goals and providing data-driven insights for future iterations.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration and Communication:
- You’ll work closely with design, engineering, and customer success teams to ideate, plan, and launch impactful new features. These might include tools like:
- A search functionality that helps retirees find relevant opportunities or enables recruiters to identify suitable retirees.
- Chatbots that guide retirees interactively, assisting them in creating compelling profiles.
- An assistant for recruiters to craft well-written, appealing job descriptions.
- You’ll review design prototypes and storyboards to ensure that user flows are intuitive, user-friendly, and aligned with the product’s overall objectives, helping to create a seamless experience for users.
- You’ll work closely with design, engineering, and customer success teams to ideate, plan, and launch impactful new features. These might include tools like:

- You’ll slice and dice data from various sources to glean insights, set up dashboards to visualize user journeys and track key metrics.
- Maintain/update WisdomCircle’s marketing website (built using WordPress).
This might be for you if...
- You have at least 2 years of experience as a product manager / product associate / product analyst. We don’t care about your title as long as you have tangible experience in building products and can share your experiences.
- You are start from first principles! We are building a product for retired professionals - conventional product knowledge doesn’t always apply!
- You enjoy working with data (Bonus: if you are an Excel ninja!) and are able to create dashboards & visualizations using tools like Meta Base, Data Studio, PowerBI etc.
- You enjoy zooming out (outline the business implications of a feature) and zooming in (create a prototype for a user interview).
- You are solution-oriented, highly motivated, and an enthusiastic self-starter. You love owning things end-to-end and are detail-oriented.
- Bonus: You’ve worked in an early-stage startup and are excited by the chaos.
- Bonus: Familiarity with product analytics tools like FullStory & prototyping tools like Figma.
💡 Even if you match a few aspects, please consider applying. We encourage you to apply regardless of race, colour, religion, sex, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, disability, or age. If our product vision resonates with you, please apply - we'd love to hear from you!
