Software Engineer

We are an early stage bootstrapped startup and this is an equity heavy role. We are open to part-time / side-gig type relationships as long as you have dedicated time each week you can be available.

Core Responsibilities

• Design and develop responsive, performant web applications using React and TypeScript
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers to implement pixel-perfect, accessible interfaces
• Build and maintain reusable component libraries and design systems
• Integrate frontend applications with REST APIs
• Write comprehensive unit tests to ensure code quality and reliability
• Implement internationalization and localization features following global standards
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members
• Contribute to technical documentation and development standards

Required Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional software development experience
• Expert-level knowledge of React, including hooks, context, and modern patterns
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and static typing principles
• Demonstrated experience building and maintaining design systems or component libraries
• Deep understanding of browser DOM, web APIs, and frontend performance optimization
• Experience writing unit tests using frameworks like Jest, React Testing Library, or Vitest
• Proficiency in consuming REST APIs and managing application state
• Understanding of globalization standards (i18n, l10n, WCAG)
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Production experience with Frontend Monitoring & Alerting solutions like Sentry

Nice to Have

• Experience with NextUI component library
• Knowledge of Refine framework (refine.dev)
• Experience building applications on AWS
• Interest in or experience with WebAssembly (WASM) or Deno runtime
• Experience with alternative frontend frameworks (Svelte, Vue, Angular)
• Understanding of micro-frontend architecture and implementation
• Experience building offline-capable applications (PWAs, service workers)
• Mobile web development experience or React Native knowledge
