About the job

MongoDB’s mission is to empower innovators to create, transform, and disrupt industries by unleashing the power of software and data. We enable organizations of all sizes to easily build, scale, and run modern applications by helping them modernize legacy workloads, embrace innovation, and unleash AI. Our industry-leading developer data platform, MongoDB Atlas, is the only globally distributed, multi-cloud database and is available in more than 115 regions across AWS, Google Cloud, and Microsoft Azure. Atlas allows customers to build and run applications anywhere—on premises, or across cloud providers. With offices worldwide and over 175,000 new developers signing up to use MongoDB every month, it’s no wonder that leading organizations, like Samsung and Toyota, trust MongoDB to build next-generation, AI-powered applications.

We are looking to speak to candidates who are based in Dublin for our hybrid working model.

Due to significant recent and ongoing growth in our fast-paced environment, we’re looking for a Manager to join our Employee Experience team in EMEA.

This new role will be based within EMEA (preferably in Ireland or Germany) and will support several of our countries across EMEA, including DACH. It provides a unique opportunity to be part of a world-class HR team rapidly scaling across EMEA. We are focused on making MongoDB the place for top talent to build careers and on harnessing the power of people, culture, and diversity to grow and scale as a company. Through engaging with our local and regional leadership and supported by our Centers of Excellence teams, you will collaboratively identify opportunities to improve employees' experience in our regions and drive our growth forward. Core focus areas include manager support; compliance; competitive benefits; coaching; performance management & employee relations; diversity and inclusion, and much much more. This is a fast-paced role working with incredibly knowledgeable and supportive colleagues. If you feel like this sounds like something you would be interested in, we would love to hear from you.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee overall compliance and culture within your designated regions. This includes;

    • Partner with the regional and global People Teams to roll out key people processes & programs locally
    • Work with leaders to build a positive and engaging work culture aligning people decisions with our core values
    • Manage Employee Relations processes including performance, grievances and investigations across your region
    • Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day HR management, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance
    • Act as a true partner for our people and first-line managers in the region, providing advice, support, and coaching
    • Manage HR policies, processes, and management support for a number of our markets in EMEA on all HR operational elements (e.g., compliance, competitive benefits, manager coaching & development)

Requirements & Qualifications

  • 8-10 years of relevant HR experience as an HR Generalist or HR Manager, ideally in a rapidly growing technology business
  • In-depth understanding of employment law and regulations in DACH
  • Requires in-depth knowledge and experience managing ER processes and protocols across multiple EMEA geographies
  • Self-motivation and assertiveness - the ability to track down answers and drive solutions autonomously
  • Passion in embracing operational excellence and driving ongoing improvements
  • Equally comfortable partnering with employees and VPs and moving regularly between tactical and strategic priorities.
  • An entrepreneurial spirit- we have a lot to build
  • The ability to act as a critical change agent to initiate, facilitate and manage changes through effective planning, communication, and coaching
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and German
  • Experience supporting global/distributed organizations is strongly preferred

To drive the personal growth and business impact of our employees, we’re committed to developing a supportive and enriching culture for everyone. Perks

Work and Life Blended
"Balance" makes work and life sound mutually exclusive. We prefer blending the two into a perfect Work/Life smoothie, packed with the richness of an employee centric office, and the health benefits of unlimited personal flexibility.
Family Support
At MongoDB, we have several programs that support our employees’ families, like a generous parental leave policy, and a back-up care program for family members.
Flexible PTO
Our flexible PTO ethos is applied globally to ensure employees take time to refresh, relax, and unwind. This policy is based on mutual trust and communication between every employee and their manager.
Work it Out at Work
What's better than yoga? FREE yoga! We offer our people plenty of opportunity to stretch it out and let it breathe in a variety of classes.
We Encourage Development & Support Fun
We equip our people with ample training, resources, and support to pave their own path, but also the autonomy to plan and host in-office events like wine tastings, game nights, and our very own version of Oktoberfest, just to name a few.
When You Walk With Us, You Walk Tall
We believe in free expression, respect and inclusion, and always having each other's backs. Work at MongoDB, and you get to mix with cool, diverse people who keep it real every day, and build together.
Employee Affinity Groups
It’s important for us to embody our values, especially when it comes to “Embracing the Power of Differences,” one of our core company values. MongoDB affinity groups support our larger commitment to a diverse and inclusive community.
Global Mobility
MongoDB is a global company with 40+ offices around the world! Each MongoDB employee has the opportunity to expand their personal and professional experiences and may have the option to relocate to another office depending on their role.
