Job Description:

As an iOS Mobile Developer at IvyPanda, you will be responsible for developing, testing, and optimizing our iOS app to deliver an intuitive and reliable experience for students. You’ll work closely with the design and product teams to translate IvyPanda’s mission into a user-friendly app, and with backend engineers to ensure robust functionality. The ideal candidate is a skilled iOS developer with a passion for innovation and a strong focus on the user experience.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain the IvyPanda iOS application, focusing on usability, performance, and design quality.
• Collaborate with designers, product managers, and other developers to implement new features and enhance existing ones.
• Write clean, reusable, and efficient code following best practices in Swift.
• Conduct thorough testing and debugging to ensure a high-performance, bug-free app experience.
• Optimize application performance and troubleshoot issues in a timely manner.
• Ensure the app meets Apple’s guidelines and is continuously updated to support new iOS features and devices.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure high code quality and maintain coding standards.
• Stay updated with the latest iOS development trends, tools, and technologies, and bring innovative ideas to the team.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as an iOS Developer, with a portfolio of published apps on the App Store.
• Proficiency in Swift and familiarity with Objective-C.
• Experience with iOS frameworks such as Core Data, Core Animation, and UIKit.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and experience integrating third-party libraries and APIs.
• Strong understanding of Apple’s design principles and interface guidelines.
• Experience with automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and version control systems like Git.
• Ability to write clean, maintainable code with a focus on performance.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (preferred).

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Experience with other mobile platforms (Android) or cross-platform development tools.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and experience working in collaborative, cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with modern app architecture patterns like MVVM.
