The Source Code Management team delivers a world-class development experience to our 2000+ Roblox teammates who write, build, and ship the most incredible virtual experience platform in the world. As a Senior Software Engineer within our Engineering Efficiency Org, you will be deep in the middle of transforming development at Roblox from its proven roots to a fully scaled, globally mature, AI-powered development, code review and CI environment. You Will:

• Support, scale, and redefine Roblox’s source code search, storage, review, and CI infrastructure for the next 10 years of growth.
• Improve your colleagues' work experience by developing new local tools, internal web applications, and microservices. In addition, build reusable CI workflows, efficiency metrics toolchains, and integrations with first and third-party tools.
• Lead and coordinate projects to improve efficiency and user experience in our Source and CI tools across Roblox engineering, impacting all engineers.
• Introduce new AI and innovative technologies to improve Roblox engineers' daily work. This will increase efficiency and reduce effort, while reigniting their passion for software engineering.

You Have:

• A degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience, with a minimum of 4+ years of work experience.
• Led end-to-end development, launch, and support of a tool or system used by other developers at scale (2000+ of engineers).
• Experience working with common cloud and hosting technologies, particularly AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and Hashistack (Nomad, Vault, Terraform).
• Fluency in at least one common language (C#, Go, Python, Java).
• Deep knowledge of source control and/or CI tools and infrastructure. GitHub, GitHub Actions, and Copilot experience are a plus.

• Experienced working cross-functionally at scale, collaborating with teams across a company to bring solutions together.
• A proactive team leader excited to mentor junior developers and level the team up through evangelism of standard methodologies and collaboration.

For roles that are based at our headquarters in San Mateo, CA: The starting base pay for this position is as shown below. The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. All full-time employees are also eligible for equity compensation and for benefits.

Annual Salary Range$189,110—$233,840 USD

Roles that are based in our San Mateo, CA Headquarters are in-office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional in-office on Monday and Friday (unless otherwise noted).
