React Native Developer - Full Time / Contracted

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled React Native Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in mobile application development, with proven expertise in React Native. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality mobile applications that meet our clients’ needs while ensuring excellent performance and responsiveness across platforms.

Duties

• Develop and maintain mobile applications using React Native and related technologies.
• Implement responsive design principles to ensure applications function seamlessly across both iOS and Android devices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers and backend developers, to define, design, and ship new features.
• Write clean, maintainable code while adhering to best practices in mobile development.
• Utilise project management tools (e.g., Clickup) to manage and keep track of projects efficiently.
• Integrate RESTful APIs and GraphQL for seamless data communication between the mobile app and backend services.
• Troubleshoot and debug applications to optimise performance and user experience.
• Participate in code reviews to maintain high-quality standards within the team.

Requirements

• Proven experience in mobile application development with a strong understanding of React Native.
• Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript, with experience in the React ecosystem.
• Familiarity with mobile development tools and libraries such as React Navigation, Axios, and Jest for testing.
• Understanding of mobile application lifecycle and best practices for performance optimisation.
• Knowledge of native modules and experience with linking libraries is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
