Job Overview
The CFO will play a critical role in shaping the financial direction of SYPS. Reporting directly to the CEO and working closely with other executives, the CFO will manage all financial operations and develop strategies that support sustainable growth. The ideal candidate will be both a strategic thinker and an operational expert, with a deep understanding of financial systems, regulations, and investment opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Financial Planning: Develop and oversee financial strategies, budgets, and forecasts aligned with corporate objectives.
• Financial Reporting and Analysis: Ensure accuracy and compliance in financial reporting. Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis.
• Risk Management: Identify and mitigate financial risks, ensuring compliance with industry standards and legal regulations.
• Investor Relations: Maintain and build strong relationships with investors, banks, and key stakeholders. Lead capital-raising activities as needed.
• Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and grow the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and innovation.
• Mergers & Acquisitions: Support growth initiatives, including identifying and evaluating potential M&A opportunities.
• Operational Efficiency: Oversee accounting, treasury, tax, audit, and compliance functions, ensuring best practices and efficient financial operations.
• Cap Table Management: Maintain clear and concise cap table and ensure it is up-to-date in relevant communications such as internal documents, pitch decks, and more.
• Engagement with Tax Representitives and Tax Filing Processes: Communication with CPA and Comptroller Reporting of Taxes
• Quickbooks Management: Maintaining accurate and up-to-date quickbooks records
• Fundraising Engagement: Work with C-Suite Team to evaluate opportunities for future capital investment and debt

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred. 10+ years of experience in finance leadership roles, with at least 5 years in a CFO or senior financial executive position.
• Strong understanding of financial regulations and compliance standards.
• Proven experience in strategic planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Demonstrated success in fundraising and investor relations.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
• Industry experience in eCommerce is a plus.
• Industry experience in government contracting and/or b2b space is a plus.
• Experience in Eqvista a plus.
• Experience working with startups is a major plus.
