Job Summary:
The Content Acquisition Head will be responsible for driving the acquisition of high-quality content for Shortfundly OTT Marketplace. This role will focus on identifying, evaluating, and acquiring short films, web series, and other engaging content to strengthen our library and enhance our viewer experience. You will work closely with filmmakers, distributors, and content creators to secure the best content aligned with our audience's interests.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Content Strategy Development: Define and execute content acquisition strategies in line with the platform’s goals and audience preferences.
2. Content Sourcing: Identify and source engaging short films, web series, and unique digital content from emerging and established filmmakers.
3. Relationship Building: Establish and maintain relationships with filmmakers, producers, distributors, and content partners.
4. Negotiation & Contracting: Lead negotiations for content licensing deals, ensuring favorable terms for the platform and high-quality content offerings.
5. Market Research: Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging talents to continuously enhance the content library.
6. Performance Analysis: Track and analyze content performance, ensuring acquisitions align with viewer engagement and growth metrics.
7. Collaborative Projects: Work closely with marketing and product teams to promote newly acquired content and enhance user engagement.
8. Budget Management: Oversee the content acquisition budget, maximizing ROI on content investments.

Key Requirements:

1. Experience: 5+ years in content acquisition, digital media, or related fields, preferably in an OTT or streaming platform.
2. Network: Strong industry connections with content creators, filmmakers, and distributors.
3. Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze content performance data and make data-driven acquisition decisions.
4. Negotiation Skills: Proven track record in negotiating contracts and licensing agreements.
5. Passion for Independent Cinema: A genuine passion for supporting and showcasing independent filmmakers and unique content.
6. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
7. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Film, Media, Business, or a related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
