What we’re looking for
As a Senior Product Designer in our Authoring Team, you will have the opportunity to innovate our survey-taking experience, improving the customer experience with modern interaction and bold visual appeal . The role will involve working within a global team responsible for the discovery and definition of customer needs, ideation, and detailed design of potential product solutions. This position requires a seasoned Product Designer with a strong curiosity about data and a passion for building customer-centered products. This position is Canada remote, hybrid, or on-site in either Toronto or Ottawa offices.
What you’ll be working on
- Lead the ideation, development, and launch of new features in the survey response experience that deliver a modern and interactive experience for our customers and survey takers.
- Execute your projects independently with a high degree of autonomy and ownership
- Collaborate with product management, engineering, and the larger research and design team to align business and customer experience goals.
- Make data-informed decisions, using research and data to understand user behavior as well as key metrics and what drives them.
- Work with a team of passionate product designers, product managers, data scientists, marketers, and engineers to drive continued product usage and growth of solutions business
We’d love to hear from people with
- BA/BS/BFA or equivalent industry experience with Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction, UX or related field.
- 8+ years of experience in Product/UX Design, 5+ years in SaaS.
- 5+ years of proven experience designing customer facing applications, with demonstrable skills in interaction, motion, and visual design.
- Experience building products in a remote or distributed team environment.
- Experience working with agile development methodology.
- Experience communicating with department leaders, leading experience conversations, and using research outcomes to make decisions.
- Passion for design and developing best-in-class solutions to UX, UI, visual, prototyping, and interaction challenges (SurveyMonkey uses Figma.)
- Experience with design systems (adherence, documentation, usage.)
- Demonstrated portfolio of shipping amazing customer experiences that have made a significant impact on business and customer metrics.
(Bonus) 2+ years of experience with growth design practices, including experimentation, analytics informed optimization, and user segmentation.
SurveyMonkey believes in-person collaboration is valuable for building relationships, fostering community, and enhancing our speed and execution in problem-solving and decision-making. As such, you will be required to work from a SurveyMonkey office up to 1 day per week.
