Founding Software Engineer (AI Agents & Mobile Development, Backend-focus)

Prana is a creator-driven personal health platform. As a founding software engineer, you will shape the early development of our V1 platform. We're looking for a scrappy, early engineer passionate about AI agents.

You will be building an AI Agent using OpenAI language and Realtime Voice APIs. This project requires a strong understanding of mobile development and building AI Agents. You should conceptually know how RAG works, how LLMs like ChatGPT integate long-term memory, and how to create function calls that allow you to dynamically change context when generating responses to a prompt.

You will be integrating this in a mobile application with React Native and will mostly focus on backend engineering with some frontend work. Outside of building and AI Agent, you will also be integrating AWS and other APIs to sync data from external sources.

Requirements

• Proficient with React Native
• Backend-focus preferred, but you should be able to contribute to both the backend and frontend flexibly as a solo engineer
• Understands how to build AI Agents, familiar with frameworks like LangGraph and conceptually understands how to integrate memory, function calls, and more into a syste,
• Understands how to work with AWS, deploy apps to TestFlight
• Proficient with PostgreSQL
• Scrappy and eager to learn
