Content Specialist / Web3 Copywriter

Overview
EigenLayer is a protocol on Ethereum designed to extend Ethereum's crypto-economic security to new use cases via distributed systems. The Eigen Foundation is looking for a Content Specialist / Web3 Copywriter to join the team. This is a remote position with at least 6 hours of US time zone overlap.

Position Description

In this role, you will be responsible for creating both long-form and short-form content that resonates across various channels and audiences, while staying true to EigenLayer’s brand. You'll play a key part in refining and evolving our content strategy, ensuring it remains relevant in the fast-paced and ever-changing crypto landscape.
You will manage content projects from start to finish, maintaining clear and consistent communication with stakeholders and teammates to ensure timelines and milestones are met. Additionally, you'll contribute to shaping our content strategy and updating style guides to maintain a consistent tone of voice that drives engagement for the whole EigenLayer ecosystem.
A crucial aspect of this role will be transforming complex technical concepts into clear, concise, and compelling copy that speaks to diverse audiences, making even the most intricate topics accessible and engaging.

Key Responsibilities
● Develop a Wide Range of Content: Create blog posts, social media threads, case studies, and educational pieces that align with EigenLayer’s messaging and product narrative.
● Architect Marketing Messages: Craft compelling marketing messages to drive engagement throughout their entire journey.
● Help Establish Brand Voice: Define and maintain EigenLayer’s brand voice across all touchpoints, from social media and ad campaigns to the product experience itself.
● Create Engaging Scripts: Write video and ad scripts tailored to specific on-camera personalities, as well as social copy across channels like X, TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube.
● Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with stakeholders across Marketing, Product, AVS, Grants, Token, Governance, Events and Creative teams to execute strategic company goals.
● Creative Concept Development: Generate creative concepts, write, and edit engaging copy for all our assets, including infographics, web copy, social media, reports, partnership deals, etc.
● Strategic Communication: Partner with internal teams to define and communicate key messages clearly and effectively.
● Campaign & Brand Execution: Collaborate with the marketing team to implement awareness campaigns and uphold the brand image.
● Enhance Conversion Rates: Work alongside the Director of Performance Marketing to refine and optimize conversion rates.
● Strategic Ideation: Participate in brainstorming sessions, campaign development, and creative brief execution, transforming ideas into impactful copy concepts. You will always champion our voice.

● Experience: 4+ years in technical writing, content development, or marketing copywriting for Web3, blockchain, or developer-focused products.
● Technical Knowledge & Storytelling: Strong understanding of blockchain, Ethereum, PoS networks, and crypto-economics, with the ability to turn complex ideas into clear, engaging content for diverse audiences.
● Adaptability: Ability to manage multiple content projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality output.
● Collaboration Skills: Proven experience working with engineers, product managers, and marketing teams to align content with strategic goals.
● Creative & Proactive Mindset: Proactively identify content needs, generate creative ideas, and ensure technical clarity throughout the editorial process.
Nice to Have
● Podcasting and Interview experience: Active creation of multimedia assets for Web3 communities..
● Crypto Enthusiasm: Active participation in the crypto ecosystem, familiarity with dApps, DeFi platforms, and staking/re-staking mechanisms.
● Social Media Savvy: Experience creating content for social channels, including X, TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube.
● Open Source Contribution: Previous experience in technical writing for the Web3 space, contributing to open-source projects or developer communities.

Qualifications
● Experience: 4+ years in technical writing or content development, particularly focused on Web3, blockchain, or developer-facing products, with at least 2 years in content creation or copywriting within tech, fintech, or crypto.
● Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of blockchain technology, Ethereum, PoS networks, and crypto-economic concepts, with a proven ability to simplify complex technical ideas into clear, digestible content.
● Content Creation: Demonstrated success in producing compelling content across various formats, maintaining high quality even while managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
● Collaboration: Skilled in working cross-functionally with engineers, product managers, and marketing teams to align content with strategic goals and technical objectives.
● Proactive Mindset: Actively identifies content needs, drives clarity in technical narratives, and manages an editorial calendar to ensure consistent and strategic content output.
● Problem-Solving & Innovation: Strong analytical skills and a track record of developing innovative solutions to complex challenges.
● Team Player: Values transparency, feedback, and human connections, contributing positively to a collaborative team environment.
