Team Lead - Fullstack Engineer

We are seeking a Team Lead - Fullstack Engineer with at least 5 years of experience in software development, primarily focused on backend solutions, but also proficient in front-end technologies. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in domain modeling and backend technologies, particularly with Node.js and PostgreSQL. Experience with DynamoDB, Redis, and AWS services (such as Lambda, Step Functions, and API Gateway), as well as a strong understanding of cloud-native/serverless architectures, is essential. The candidate should have experience leading technical teams, mentoring junior engineers, and fostering best practices in software development.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of engineers in designing and implementing backend solutions with Node.js and PostgreSQL.
• Oversee the development and management of database schemas and domain models.
• Collaborate with the team on AWS products, including DynamoDB, Redis, Lambda, Step Functions, and API Gateway.
• Champion cloud-native and serverless architecture practices within the team.
• Guide the implementation of microservice architecture to build scalable applications.
• Facilitate the use of the Serverless Framework for application development.
• Promote best practices in development, including test-driven development (TDD).
• Drive the creation and maintenance of client applications using material design frameworks.
• Oversee the development and management of private npm packages, ensuring proper documentation and usage across the team.
• Foster a collaborative team environment, encouraging knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in full-stack development, with a focus on backend solutions.
• Proven experience in leading technical teams and mentoring engineers.
• Expertise in domain modeling and a high proficiency in Node.js and PostgreSQL.
• Experience with DynamoDB, Redis, and AWS services (e.g., Lambda, Step Functions, API Gateway).
• Strong background in cloud-native and serverless architectures.
• Familiarity with microservice architecture principles.
• Experience with the Serverless Framework (preferred).
• Proficiency with ORMs, including Serialize (a plus).
• Solid understanding of test-driven development (TDD) practices.
• Ability to work with material design frameworks effectively.
• Experience in developing and managing private npm packages.
