The Opportunity

Drift is looking to bring on a Head of Accounting & Finance to lead our accounting
& finance function and oversee critical aspects of our financial operations. Our ideal
candidate should possess extensive experience in both corporate accounting and FP&A,
preferably with some knowledge or interest in crypto. We are focused on candidates who
have a proven track record of successfully building and leading high-performing finance
teams, can apply first principles thinking to problems that may be unique to the industry
and have the willingness to roll their sleeves up. This role is essential for ensuring that Drift is equipped to scale for our next phase of growth.

Your Role

Financial Reporting and Compliance

• Prepare quarterly financial statements in collaboration with auditors and tax professionals to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Implement an automated accounting system providing integrated views of expenditures (fiat/token) across various divisions, from both management and regulatory perspectives.
• Conduct monthly reconciliations for expenses and cash flow management, and lead monthly meetings with management to report on key financial health matters.
• Provide strategic planning and direction for our accounting & finance functions

Treasury Management and Budgeting

• Lead budgeting processes and manage cash flow effectively, including treasury management, to support operational needs and strategic initiatives and mitigate risk
• Develop and implement strategies to ensure Drift’s sustainability, maintaining and monitoring runway across fiat and tokens.
• Create treasury management strategies to generate yield on idle capital.
• Collaborate with the CEO and key stakeholders to determine the Foundation’s annual fiat requirements.

Financial Operations (FinOps)

• Establish automated payroll processes for international contractors as well as part-time and full-time staff.
• Enhance the FinOps infrastructure through automation of invoice approval and payment processes.
• Expand the team’s fiat and token capabilities by sourcing additional banking and exchange accounts.

Your Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. *CA, CFA, or CPA required*
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in treasury management, financial operations, or a similar role
• Strong knowledge of financial principles, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements/standards
• Demonstrated track record of leadership and team building in high intensity environment
• Passionate about decentralized finance and crypto

Nice to Have

• Understanding of perpetual futures, options, margin trading and derivatives products
• Familiarity with the Solana blockchain

The compensation for this position will vary based on geography and other factors (including
years and depth of experience and expertise, and other business considerations). Final offer
package will be at the company’s sole discretion.
