About the job
Overview
- You'll work directly with the VP of Compliance and Accreditation and with leading academics to manage accreditation compliance paperwork.
- You'll be joining a small team of highly-experienced academics, operators, and engineers. We're a growing organization and support our high-quality, member colleges and accredited programs.
About Woolf
- Our mission is to increase access to world-class higher education and ensure that it is globally recognized and transferable. See more at Woolf.university.
- We're building a category-defining company, increasing the speed of innovation in higher education and increasing access to high-quality education
- Woolf is a collegiate higher education institution modeled on the University of Oxford and the University of California. We are composed of our colleges, and we work closely with college Deans to define new programs, and manage regulatory paperwork related to those programs.
- We're on a mission to increase the speed of innovation in higher education, while ensuring the most robust quality assurance process that has ever been built.
The Role
We’re looking for a US-based academic administrator that is detail-oriented, systematic, and able to see how the parts fit together into the whole.
1) Academic Administration
You will design and file regulatory paperwork related to the ongoing compliance requirements for accreditation. You'll be provided with support and guidance for appropriate filings, but you will quickly become self-sufficient in your ability to compose 50-150 page applications.
2) Quality Assurance
You'll get up to speed on the specialized QA requirements for filing long forms and paperwork, and your attention to detail means that you'll understand the wide-ranging, systematic impact of small details.
3) Instructional Design
You'll collaboratively help both senior and junior academics reduce complexity in their new academic courses and degree designs, with a keen understanding of how degree design will impact students and the future usability of the program.
4) Policy writing and process improvement
You'll review compliance requirements and business needs to draft clear and concise policies and procedures related to accreditation, compliance, and education delivery.
5) Stakeholder management
You'll interact across cultural barriers with academic leaders, government officials, and others - remaining polite, patient, and cheerful despite challenges. You'll persist and remain goal-focused, even when others might be exasperated.
Requirements
What we're looking for
- Graduate-level education, PhD preferred
- 4+ years academic administration
- Extensive experience in US Accreditation and/or Regulatory Compliance is a must
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A meticulous, systematic, goal focused team player, able to work with complex regulatory frameworks
- Patience and persistence in the face of bureaucratic inertia
- Readiness to work in a start-up environment - you'll be a self-starter, able to take initiative in breaking ambiguous projects into concrete, time-bound steps
Benefits
- Annual Compensation – commensurate with experience level
- Flexible PTO and working hours
- Work from Home
- Laptop
