About the role

We are looking for a skilled AI Clinical Specialist to help structure our diverse radiology dataset across various modalities and subspecialties. You'll work with a dynamic team of data scientists, statisticians, engineers, and researchers to harness unique healthcare data, including MRI, CT, X-ray, and ultrasound images, along with clinical reports and claims data. Your work will contribute to developing methods for assessing and predicting healthcare quality, ultimately impacting patient outcomes and costs across all phases of care.

In this role, you will be expected to:

  • Conduct radiology report annotations for various pathologies to support Product needs, including AI model training and validation
  • Run NLP Scripts: Although no prior experience or particular expertise with this is necessary, part of the onboarding process will focus on getting the hire comfortable with the established processes. These tasks will be supported and maintained by a scientist or engineer
  • Optimize logic of annotation and annotation workflows in collaboration with the AI team
  • Help to define and document the required annotation tasks for new AI projects
  • Build and maintain a codified clinical guidelines database with version control
  • Ensure accurate documentation of clinical guidelines and tailor the documentation for clients/end-users
  • Study task-related anatomy and terminology, becoming the team's internal subject matter expert
  • Work with the Translational AI team to coordinate clinical and analytic priorities
  • Develop areas of clinical research adjacent to Covera's core competencies, including the quality of radiology care, image quality, and report quality, among others
  • Performing other duties and contributing to additional initiatives/projects, as deemed appropriate by the Company's management team

Your profile:

  • 1 to 3 years experience with basic interpretation of medical imaging (CT/MRI)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong written and oral communication with excellent ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to read and comprehend medical documents quickly and accurately, identifying the meaning of specific text and phrases
  • Ability to effectively communicate detailed information to healthcare providers
  • Strong personal time management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Passionate about technology, data science, and healthcare
  • Strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills and a can-do attitude to work and thrive in a fast-paced team environment
  • Prior experience with radiology, radiology reports, and radiology nomenclature/naming conventions associated with radiology is heavily preferred

Benefits

You will be a full-time employee with a competitive salary, stock options, and great benefits. These benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance, HRA, 401k, pre-tax commuter benefits, flexible paid time off, and a comfortable office space filled with various quality snacks and beverages.
