About the job
What is Aurelius Systems?
Aurelius Systems is a directed energy company developing edge-deployed laser systems for cUAS applications
We shoot down drones with laser guns
Why?
The US and our allies have prepared for a world where we will be fighting increasingly large and sophisticated systems (Planes, Aircraft carriers, etc), but this world never came. The future of warfare will involve large numbers of small-scale and mass-manufacturable drones, and we aren’t prepared to defend our country from these threats abroad or domestically. Aurelius Systems has set out to address this problem by equipping the US and our allies with the systems they need to fight current and future conflicts in a scalable and cost-effective manner.
Our Status
We are an early stage startup that’s recently closed our first capital raise, and are actively expanding the team to develop our first product - an AI laser sentinel. Please apply if you love this country and think our servicemen, servicewomen and domestic police deserve new technologies to address the dangers that drone warfare brings.
Job Description
We are building out the first team at Aurelius, and are looking for 2-4 engineers to help develop our first product MVP. Yes, you will be building a laser gun.
This opening is for an EE/CS Engineer with experience in robotics. This person will be:
Implementing computer vision systems for detection, identification, and tracking
Developing embedded systems architecture to orchestrate the various subsystems
This is a generalist engineering role that will require self-direction and adaptability. We do hire for technical skills, but are huge believers in the power of learning quickly. If you’re passionate about our mission, please apply even if you’re not the perfect cookie-cutter-candidate
