Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic, results-driven Marketing Manager to lead and execute strategies to grow our user base, increase engagement, and build brand awareness. The ideal candidate has a passion for the music and vintage gear community, thrives in a startup environment, and has experience in both paid and organic marketing. This role will focus on acquiring new users cost-effectively and building brand equity by leveraging partnerships, influencer collaborations, social media marketing, and community engagement.
Key Responsibilities
User Acquisition & Growth Strategy
Develop, implement, and manage creative acquisition strategies to drive daily signups.
Launch and optimize ad campaigns across social platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Tik Tok, etc) with a focus on lookalike audiences and retargeting.
Implement referral and incentive programs to encourage organic user growth and increase retention.
Partnerships & Influencer Marketing
Build and nurture partnerships with influencers, YouTubers, and musicians in the guitar and vintage gear community.
Collaborate with niche music shops and forums for cross-promotional campaigns, content sharing, and other growth initiatives.
Manage relationships with existing partners and affiliates to maximize engagement and reach.
Social Media & Content Marketing
Develop a robust social media content calendar that includes giveaways, contests, user-generated content, and Q&A sessions to increase engagement.
Run and monitor weekly or biweekly social media contests/giveaways aimed at driving user signups and brand awareness.
Engage actively in music and gear forums, contributing to community discussions and representing StringTree’s brand voice.
Email Marketing & Retention Campaigns
Create and manage email marketing campaigns to promote new auctions, featured listings, and user referral opportunities.
Develop personalized drip campaigns for user onboarding, engagement, and re-engagement.
Use analytics to measure open rates, click-through rates, and conversions, optimizing for better performance.
Community Building & Forum Engagement
Develop and maintain an active presence on popular music forums and groups (e.g., Reddit, The Gear Page), engaging with potential users and promoting brand awareness.
Organize online events, Q&A sessions, and other community-driven content to foster engagement and create brand loyalty.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in digital marketing, user acquisition, or community engagement, preferably within e-commerce or a music-related industry.
Proven track record in managing social media platforms, running effective ad campaigns, and working with influencer partnerships.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, optimize campaigns, and measure success.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a knack for engaging content creation.
Passion for music, guitars, and/or vintage gear is a strong plus!
