Backend Engineer Intern - 6-months starting February 2025

At Equativ, we’re on a mission to develop advertising technologies that empower our customers to reach their digital business goals. This means that we rely on massively scalable, widely distributed, highly available, and efficient software systems; the platform deals with over 3 millions requests per second managed by 3,000 servers.

Our innovation team based in Paris, Nantes, Limoges, Krakow and Berlin is composed of 100+ straightforward and energetic engineers working in an Agile environment and ready to tackle the most complex technical challenges.

👇 Your mission

You will join our fast growing R&D within the backend development teams. Your specific team’s mission is to improve our engines seeking for better performances, higher maintainability and faster scalability. As a member of the team, you’ll get to work on production challenges, whether they are short term focused (e.g: improving an algo to save CPU) or shaping the future (e.g: splitting big apps in microservices) of our platform. As an intern, you’ll get to learn and grow within an international team composed of several expertises. You’ll report directly to a Senior Engineer in this team.

What you'll do ✏️

• Work in an agile, international and multi-expertise team composed software engineers, QA and DevOps.
• Build and Deploy your applications using Gitlab.
• Improve our End To End tests reliability.
• Participate in upgrading our stack to the latest .NET 8 release.
• Participate in our daily features development.
• Learn a lot by working on one of the biggest productions of French tech!

About you 💪

• Must have:
• Masters level looking for an internship.
• Professional efficiency in verbal and written English.
• Serious doubts about the saying “Testing is Doubting”
• Passion for writing high-quality and maintainable code following agile principles.
• Appetite for learning and technical challenge.
• You know how to code with C#

• Proficiency in SQL.

• Nice to have:

• First Knowledge of software development experience on a Microsoft stack (.NET Standard, .NET Core 3.1)

• Personal projects with code sharing, we’re curious about your art!
