As a full stack engineer, you’ll play a critical part in building our culture: you will foster collaboration, innovation, empathy, and trust while leveraging your technical expertise to execute on the product vision.
You will be working directly with the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and collaborating closely with product, operations, and clinical teams to create a robust system that supports real-time patient engagement and helps improve healthcare outcomes. You will play a key role in building our infrastructure and software services that integrates disparate data sources to create a seamless patient experience. In this fast-paced, dynamic startup environment, you’ll see the direct results of your work on the lives of patients, while helping to build a mission-driven culture focused on healthcare transformation.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications, APIs, and backend services that support our AI-driven patient engagement platform.
- Collaborate with AI/ML engineers to integrate conversational AI functionalities into the product.
- Work across the stack, from database design and backend services to front-end development, ensuring a seamless user experience.
- Build reusable code libraries, components, and frameworks to improve development speed and quality.
- Implement engineering best practices for secure, scalable, and maintainable code.
- Work with cloud services (Azure, AWS, GCP) to deploy and optimize web services and backend infrastructure.
- Participate in code reviews and help establish development standards.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Stay updated on the latest technologies and frameworks to continually improve the platform.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in full stack development, with at least 2 years in a senior-staff level role.
- Early-stage product experience building from 0 to 1, and rebuilding that 1 into N
- Proficiency in Node stack/Javascript/Typescript, RDBMS, ReactJS, Express
- Good sense of system architecture and extensible API design (bonus if you’ve built on FHIR)
- Disciplined approach to design and engineering: Clean Code, TDD, CI/CD
- Experience working with cross-functional and non-technical business stakeholders and partners
- Straddle between the stack and can own the feature across the stack, from design, implementation to deployment
- Startup experience and/or agency experience (bonus if in healthcare)
- A portfolio of projects where you led engineering efforts
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in healthcare tech or related industries.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, containerization (e.g., Docker), and orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes).
- Knowledge of data visualization libraries or frameworks.
- Background in mentoring and coaching engineering teams.
