This role seeks to optimize and streamline pricing and its processes, which translates to tangible, positive, financial impact.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, technical, legal, and other relevant stakeholders to develop a winning proposal that meets both the customer’s requirement and the company’s objectives
- Engage and work with different departments including Product, Finance and Controls. Lead all business case justification discussions with product and finance, develop and implement governance process for pricing filing with regulatory to ensure compliance
- Regularly review target margins by product, customer, industry, and geography segment
- Work closely with BI and Commercial Controls team to develop a channel pricing strategy
- Work closely with the regional commercial team in deploying and maintaining processes and guidelines
- Work closely with Country Management team and Regional stakeholders
- Collaborates with acquisition sales teams to determine pricing strategy, deal pricing and terms
- Works closely with finance, commercial controls and other functional staff for margin improvement and deal management, approval and compliance
- Visit and present to selected customers
- Provide pricing guidance for large deals by working closely with sales teams, evaluating local competitive situation
- Support the sales organization with promotions and participate in customer negotiations as needed
- Closely track market feedback and competitor pricing, share insights internally
- Grow and maintain competitor price “comparable” database
- Perform pricing analytics to identify pricing trends that impact how to price future deals in the region / country
- Conduct extensive win/loss analysis of large strategic deals and using pricing analytics from our systems to provide greater actionable insights for our commercial teams
- Provide support on ad-hoc projects that may include requests pertaining to other business functions (utilisation rate)
Requirements
- Minimum 5-8 years of overall experience with minimum of 3-5 years experience in financial analysis related role, ideally with pricing experience
- Prior experience working in a commercial role or with commercial teams within the logistics industry is preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business
- Proficiency in Excel, other analytical tools
- Stakeholder management and negotiation skills
- Ability to work on tight deadlines
