About the job
Teamwork makes the stream work.
Roku is changing how the world watches TV
Roku is the #1 TV streaming platform in the US and Mexico, and we've set our sights on powering every television in the world. Roku pioneered streaming to the TV. Our mission is to be the TV streaming platform that connects the entire TV ecosystem. We connect consumers to the content they love, enable content publishers to build and monetize large audiences, and provide advertisers unique capabilities to engage consumers.
From your first day at Roku, you'll make a valuable - and valued - contribution. We're a fast-growing public company where no one is a bystander. We offer you the opportunity to delight millions of TV streamers around the world while gaining meaningful experience across a variety of disciplines.
About the Team
The Devices team at Roku is responsible for driving growth of the Roku Platform. We accomplish that by building and selling a variety of streaming players and Roku Branded TVs, as well as partnering with dozens of other TV brands to embed Roku OS into their devices. Combined, Roku will ship more than 1000 different TV + Player SKUs this year alone from 15 factories into 17+ countries. More than 1 in 3 TVs sold in the US is from Roku or one of our partners. Needless to say, we’ve built a large and fast-growing business!
About the Role
As a Sr. Product Manager within the Roku Devices organization, you will be responsible for developing the next generation of Roku Branded TV hardware. This business is the newest and fastest growing segment of the Roku organization. Only two years old, the team has already had amazing success:

…and we’re expanding. Together with your team, your job will be to craft and execute a roadmap that continues to expand our TV market share. To do this, you will assess market opportunities, understand the needs of our customers, and partner with Roku engineering leaders to craft and ship high quality product.
All the while, you will be deeply embedded with a tight team of hard working, fun, and talented professionals working to deliver the simplest, most accessible, and best performing home entertainment experience on the planet. Sound exciting? Great! We thought so too.
The ideal candidate for this role is an experienced product leader with a track record of shipping consumer electronics hardware. They are strategic thinkers who are independent, self-sufficient, and technical leaders. If they are not already familiar with the TV industry, they quickly learn it. They leverage their professional networks to develop strategic innovations and are adept at influencing without direct authority. They quickly establish credibility up and down the leadership chain and influence decision making that drives success for their programs.
Successful candidates don’t get roadblocked. They are tenacious and action-oriented leaders who are comfortable working with global companies in borderless environments. They build consensus, make decisions, and solve problems. Most importantly, successful candidates set a high standard for quality, advocate for customers, and take ownership of their programs. For the successful candidate, anything less would be failure.

The Roku Culture
Roku is a great place for people who want to work in a fast-paced environment where everyone is focused on the company's success rather than their own. We try to surround ourselves with people who are great at their jobs, who are easy to work with, and who keep their egos in check. We appreciate a sense of humor. We believe a fewer number of very talented folks can do more for less cost than a larger number of less talented teams. We're independent thinkers with big ideas who act boldly, move fast and accomplish extraordinary things through collaboration and trust. In short, at Roku you'll be part of a company that's changing how the world watches TV.
We have a unique culture that we are proud of. We think of ourselves primarily as problem-solvers, which itself is a two-part idea. We come up with the solution, but the solution isn't real until it is built and delivered to the customer. That penchant for action gives us a pragmatic approach to innovation, one that has served us well since 2002.
