The Role

The Senior Software Engineer II will join DV’s Programmatic software development team and will use industry standards and latest technologies to enhance our programmatic and platform products. DoubleVerify runs mission-critical systems that process billions of real-time transactions a day, hence performance and scalability considerations would guide you throughout each project. You will experiment with new and cutting-edge technologies designed for large scale, distributed systems, Big Data and Ad Tech solutions.

What you’ll do

• Join a great team of motivated engineers and collaborate in developing critical, large scale, distributed services for DoubleVerify's Programmatic and Platform products with strict SLAs

Use your extensive Python skills to cooperate with other engineers and review their code, design and other artifacts.

• Work closely with the Product team to understand product requirements and ensure that deliverables are timely and of high quality
• Write solid code with the focus on high performance for services supporting high throughput and low latency
• Design, develop and test new features and improve existing systems

Who you are

5+ years of Python software development experience

• 1+ years of experience working as a Sr. Software Engineer
• Experience working with data platforms such as BigQuery, Snowflake, Hadoop, Spark, Pandas
• Excellent SQL skills
• Familiarity with Java preferred
• Experience in building large distributed backend systems using multiple open source technologies
• Experience in building highly resilient, scalable REST-based services
• Familiarity with Kubernetes and/or Docker and CI/CD deployment pipelines
• Familiarity with stream processing of large datasets and related technologies like Kafka
• Has proven record of making data driven decisions
• Experience working in Ad Tech industry preferred
• BS, MS or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field involving coding (e.g., physics or mathematics), or equivalent technical experience

The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on a number of non-discriminating factors, including qualifications for the role, level, skills, experience, location, and balancing internal equity relative to peers at DV.

The estimated salary range for this role based on the qualifications set forth in the job description is between $102,000 - $202,000. This role will also be eligible for bonus/commission (as applicable), equity, and benefits.
