Our platforms include:
- TurboSBIR, assisting innovators in finding and applying for innovation grants and contracts from US Federal government agencies.
- TurboInnovate, generates comprehensive market research reports within minutes. Subscribers have access to and the ability to review patients/trademarks/IP, funding trends, competitors, potential leads and investors for their preferred domains, and much more.
The Quality Assurance Engineer should be a master of testing and trying to find any potential bugs, errors, and ways users might use our products and services that were initially unintended. You will be joining a high-impact team of dedicated engineers, data scientists, designers, and go-getters. You must ensure our products meet the required specifications and maintain a high-quality standard. Your duties include testing our applications to identify issues before they are sent to production, determining the reasons for quality issues, and advising senior management on solutions to reduce the frequency of quality issues. At times you will also code and deliver work that needs to be completed. You should have a keen interest in staying up to date with the latest technologies and understanding the implications for your work and our industry.
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Identifying anomalies, evaluate the impact, record and communicate them to necessary stakeholders.
- Creating testing procedures to evaluate the performance of all company applications.
- Building software testing programs that automate testing processes and running the software testing procedures to evaluate the software.
- Documenting all testing procedures including written documentation, videos, and images.
- Identifying bugs and errors before production and retesting products after bugs are fixed to ensure the programs work properly.
- Participating in CI/CD processes to streamline testing workflows and improve deployment cycles.
- Working with the Lead Engineer and Project Manager to maintain a detailed bugs report and making recommendations to improve the QA process to reduce the number of bugs.
- Attending meetings with the development team, clients and other stakeholders as needed.
- Staying up-to-date with recent advancements in software development and testing, applying novel techniques and methodologies to improve our internal processes.
- Performing other duties, research and special projects, as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience; 3 years of relevant work experience is preferred.
- Understanding of SDLC principles and practices.
- Experience with test automation tools and frameworks is required.
- Experience working in software development with experience programming in Python, JavaScript is required
- Experience in working with and programming back-end technologies and/or backend end frameworks: NodeJS, SQL, NoSql is desirable
- Experience in working and programming with front end technologies and/or front-end frameworks: React, GraphQL, NextJS is desirable
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail for identifying defects.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and strong communication skills.
- English fluency with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
