Are you an experienced payroll professional looking for an exciting opportunity to lead and manage payroll operations? Suvoda is seeking a dedicated US Payroll Manager to oversee our payroll processes and ensure accuracy and compliance. This role involves maintaining accurate payroll records within Workday, ensuring compliance with internal processes, and collaborating with our internal teams to manage payroll changes. This is a remote position.
Responsibilities:
- Processes the entire payroll cycle for United States employees in the Workday Payroll system, including capturing new employees, leaves, terminations, commissions, and any bonus cycles
- Maintains employee payroll records and ensure that employee changes are entered correctly, made on a timely basis, and reviewed for proper authorization
- Runs audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal processes and policies
- Inform the configuration for any state changes and updates in Workday
- Works with Finance Team and communicate all payroll changes in a timely manner
- Determine payroll liabilities by reviewing the calculation of federal, state, and local taxes
- Lead the payroll system testing and implementation for Workday and support all ongoing upgrades and changes within the system
- Understand and utilize the payroll system to maximize operational efficiency and effectiveness
- Show a high level of customer service and the ability to interact with different internal teams
- Assist with gathering data for compensation review cycles
- Assists in the administration of employee benefit programs including life, disability, and health insurance plans
- Supports implementation of HR related projects
- Maintains knowledge of trends, developments, and best practices in payroll
- All other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field required
- 3+ years of experience with Workday payroll
- Excellent ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Previous benefit administration experience a plus, but not required
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to liaise at all levels
- Strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently and under pressure
- Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and meet all deadlines
