- U.S. Citizen
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid Driver's License
- Good driving, police, personal, & employment record

The hiring process for police officer is year round. Successful applicants will be hired throughout the year as Police Cadet II (non-hazardous position). This is a full-time position that receives full benefits. Police Cadet II will be promoted to Police Officer on or before the BGLEA start date.
