As an Occupational Therapist specializing in early intervention, your role is pivotal in applying evidence-based strategies to comprehend and shape behavior in young children. Your responsibilities encompass the thorough assessment, strategic planning, and skillful implementation of interventions to foster the development of essential skills, ultimately guiding our youngest learners toward realizing their full potential!

About What You’ll Work On:

  • Independently evaluate the functional ability of patients through the administration, interpretation of standardized tests, clinical observation, and patient/family interview

  • Create individualized treatment and educational plans and provide patient/family counseling and training.

  • Consult closely with multi-disciplinary team members to create collaborative treatment plans and integrative strategies

  • Provide individual therapy sessions as well as group and/or co-treats with other disciplines as therapeutically appropriate.

  • Maintain patient records, documentation, and appropriate billing in accordance with federal and state regulations and company policy to ensure excellent standard of care

  • Develops and implements innovative and specific treatment plans to maximize the patient's functional potential or return to previous level of functioning, based on clinical findings. Facilitate functional and stimulating experiences to target and achieve individualized goals

  • Contribute to program development

  • Educate patients, families, team members, and caregivers on home programs that complement treatment

  • Timely documentation of client progress and complete billing logs ethically and accurately for occupational therapy services provided

Lead OT Responsibilities:

  • Serve as primary point of contact onsite to represent the OT practice and uphold OT clinical standards of practice

  • Serve as clinical support/mentor to the OT team or OT students onsite

  • Responsible for weekly audit of OT equipment and material onsite (checking levels and needed orders)

  • Responsible for maintenance of OT equipment onsite (cleaning, set up and take down)

  • Work with Site Director director and/or Clinic Admins regarding OT space needs specific to maintenance and organization

  • Act as point person onsite for consultations (including scheduling with providers and other necessary parties)

  • Point person for client or family questions related to needs for OT

  • Provides basic assistance with client/family issues or concerns (point of contact onsite, escalate to Site Director)

  • Assist with community marketing efforts, as assigned by Site Director

  • Staff satisfaction will be facilitated through supported access to cultural events and other staff/community building activities

  • Collaboration efforts will be supported and encouraged across all specialties, including working with Site Director on Collaborative site meetings

  • Responsible for facilitating PTO coverage across OTs at that site, as well as same day case movements at that site due to Clinician callouts

  • Work with Site Director in attendance warnings for families

  • Responsible for a caseload equalling 33 scheduled hours, 29 worked hours weekly

Qualifications:

  • Current state license in OT

  • NBCOT: National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy

  • CPR/BLS Certification

  • Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy

  • At least 2-3 years of experience working as an OT with pediatric population

  • Valid driver's license and auto insurance

  • Ability and experience working independently, using critical thinking skills and processes to arrive at objective, strategic, results-oriented decisions within the context of patient care and department, division and organizational priorities

  • Work in a collaborative environment with other clinicians with varied backgrounds in field
