The Trade Desk is seeking a Sr. Director of FP&A in New York City to lead a global team that provides financial, analytical, and operational support to TTD’s go-to-market and marketing teams. Reporting to the VP of FP&A, the successful candidate will balance being a trusted business partner with ensuring sound financial decision-making across the organization. The Sr. Director of FP&A will lead a strong global team that acts as key business partners on commercial agreements, leads the ideation and creation of financial and analytical reports to enable cross-functional leaders to create scalable KPIs, manage budgets, and refine ongoing estimates.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Lead and develop a strong team that acts as strategic finance partners for the commercial, platform, and marketing teams
- Work with global business leaders to identify key operating levers, and create and distribute insightful analyses, and support operational initiatives to drive success against strategic priorities
- Deal Desk support: Provide analytical and modeling support for complex contract negotiations and agreements
- Work with operations to construct sales promotions, incentive funds and other initiatives to drive top line growth
- Work with business leaders to develop budgets and provide reports to help manage respective divisions for continued profitable growth
- Develop productivity analyses and resource plans across several key organizations
- Prepare monthly financial and operational reporting across key departments of the business
- Conduct value added ad-hoc analyses to drive decision making
- Collaborate with the Accounting team to prepare variance to budget and other deep dives
- Instill consistency and excellence in FP&A support across global regions
- Communicate findings, issues, and suggestions to global executives with clarity and compassion
- Continuously take on additional responsibility to improve processes and procedures
WHO YOU ARE:
- 15+ years of progressive experience in FP&A or Corporate Finance at a growth company.
- Bachelor's degree and/or MBA preferred.
- Strong aptitude in strategic planning, commercial deal structuring, and financial modeling and analysis required; With prior experience in investment banking, equity research, or similar field a plus.
- Experience with financial reporting systems and/or data analytics tools (Oracle EPM, Tableau, Anaplan knowledge) a plus
- Proven experience as a business partner with the ability to present information persuasively and effectively through writing, presentations, and spreadsheets
- Previous experience leading, growing and mentoring a global team of at least ten people
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize and deliver in a fast-paced environment
- Collaborative and proactive with a strong sense of ownership
- Knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting

The actual amount may differ based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and location. All employees may be eligible to become The Trade Desk shareholders through eligibility for stock-based compensation grants, which are awarded to employees based on company and individual performance. The Trade Desk also offers other compensation depending on the role such as sales-based incentives and commissions. At the Trade Desk, Base Salary is one part of our competitive total compensation and benefits package and is determined using a salary range. The base salary range for this role is$164,900—$302,400 USD
