What You Will Do
Boundless is at a critical juncture in our data journey. As we've scaled across multiple business lines, we've amassed a wealth of data that holds the key to our next phase of growth. We're seeking a Senior Analytics Engineer to help us unlock the full potential of this data and elevate our analytics capabilities to new heights. This role is pivotal in shaping our data strategy and driving us towards analytics maturity.
As our first Senior Analytics Engineer, you'll have the unique opportunity to architect and implement solutions across our entire analytics stack. From refining our data models in Redshift to rethinking our BI tooling, you'll be the bridge between raw data and actionable insights. This role is ideal for a strategic thinker who can see the broad strokes of what matters for our business while defining the technical details to allow us to measure and analyze those factors. You'll work closely with our sales, marketing, product teams, translating their needs into robust analytics solutions that drive decision-making.

*This is a hybrid role that requires 4 days/week in our Seattle office. *
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain data models in our Redshift data warehouse
- Create and optimize ETL processes to ensure data accuracy and timeliness
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, and product teams to identify key metrics and build analytics solutions
- Develop dashboards and reports using BI tools to support data-driven decision making
- Communicate updates and changes to data stakeholders; contribute to and maintain data-related documentation
- Partner with our engineering team to define event tracking processes
- Implement data quality checks and monitoring systems
- Be the subject matter expert of high-level understanding of data (data sources, type of data, data definition)
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to technical best practices
Who You Are
- 5+ years of experience in analytics engineering or related field
- Strong SQL skills and experience with AWS Redshift and DBT
- Proficiency in Python or another scripting language
- Experience with ETL tools and processes
- Experience in working on data quality, data warehousing, or other enterprise data and analytic management initiatives
- Familiarity with BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker)
- Self-starter with high energy level who is flexible and adaptable to change
- Understanding of data modeling techniques and best practices
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
Bonus Points:
- Knowledge of machine learning concepts
- Familiarity with sales and marketing analytics with strong business acumen

Compensation
Compensation for this role includes both cash and equity. The starting base salary for this position is typically $126,000-$163,000. Total compensation offered for this role will be dependent on the candidate's experience, qualifications, skills and abilities as demonstrated in the interview and hiring process.
