At Mandrel, we are building software that leverages AI to fully automate finance & operations workflows for physical goods businesses, such as consumer brands. Our “Inventory Graph” uses AI to extract unstructured inventory data from supply chain and commercial documents in combination with data from third-party commercial platforms into a coherent item-level record to reshape how finance & operations access intelligence and manage day-to-day workflows. We are working with several consumer brands to help them track costs in real time, manage item-level data, and streamline supply chain management, all while reducing manual data entry and eliminating mistakes.

About this role

We’re looking for a highly motivated Senior Software Engineer to join our growing team in New York City. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will report directly to the Founder & CEO and will be responsible for working cross-functionally and with early customers to improving and scaling our MVP. This is a high-impact role where you will have an opportunity to make significant technical architecture decisions, iterate on prototypes, and build features from concept to launch in a highly autonomous environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and deploy systems from concept to prototype that solve key customer problems while meeting quality standards
• Build robust and secure integrations with third-party software tools as well as internal APIs
• Contribute to the technical roadmap and translate user feedback and product requirements into technical solutions

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of full-stack industry software engineering experience
• Experience building and shipping data-intensive web applications
• Experience working in fast-paced environments
• Self-driven with a strong focus on product and customer experience

Nice to Have

• Proficiency in TypeScript, NestJS, Next.js, and PostgreSQL
• Familiarity with hosting platforms (Vercel, Heroku) or other cloud platforms (AWS)
• Experience building end-to-end functionality from concept to production
