Senior Software Engineer - Telemetry

As a Senior Software Engineer on our Foundation team, you will have an immediate impact on the building blocks of Roblox itself. The software you build is a very large application that empowers our global community of 2M+ developers to push the boundaries of interactive gaming. You will work closely with engineers across the company to improve usability and accuracy of our metrics. If you enjoy working on C++ software alongside experienced and passionate engineers, you will be right at home on our growing Game Engine team.

You Will:

• Work with internal stakeholders to improve the Session Telemetry that our game clients report
• Develop engine code that performs well for all user-created games on the Roblox platform
• Work on every application Roblox develops, from mobile phone clients to cloud-based servers

You Have:

• 4+ years experience and you've worked on deep and challenging problems in complex C++ codebases
• Passion for accurate data and know what it takes to get the data right
• Built systems that work and keep on working reliably
• The drive to learn, and stay up-to-date on technology development

For roles that are based at our headquarters in San Mateo, CA: The starting base pay for this position is as shown below. The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. All full-time employees are also eligible for equity compensation and for benefits.

Annual Salary Range$218,540—$283,780 USD

Roles that are based in our San Mateo, CA Headquarters are in-office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional in-office on Monday and Friday (unless otherwise noted).
