The Role: The Event Manager - Construction Saudi Cluster is a key role that will contribute to dmg: events growth plans in Saudi Arabia. This position requires a strong commercial manager with strong communication skills as he/she will often be required to present to senior and high-ranking government officials in Saudi Arabia.
Requirements:
- The Event Manager will be expected to develop, direct, and successfully execute a commercial strategy for new launch cluster of events in Saudi Arabia.
- To ensure all activities related to your product deliver a “best in class” event by knowing when to work independently and as part of a team.
- To have an in-depth understanding of your industry and contribute to the future strategic direction of your event.
- Build and maintain relations with senior government officials and decision-makers.
- To seek out, evaluate and develop new business opportunities through organic growth/new product development.
- In conjunction with the Event Director/ Portfolio Director and Marketing Manager, develop a marketing strategy that will maximize visitor and exhibitor attendance.
- Create an interactive, inspirational, and innovative show ensuring it continues to be relevant and on trend.
- To support in creating and managing budgets.
- Communicate business direction to team members through communication channels.
- Regularly review and monitor competitive exhibitions to ensure keeping a competitive advantage.
- Arabic speaker is must.
Minimum Experience:
- 4-5 years’ experience within events industry
The Person:
- A capable and experienced commercial manager.
- Leadership and people management skills
- Creative and lateral thinker
- Ability to deliver budgeted revenue.
- Arabic language, written and spoken, is desirable but not essential.
