Wachter is seeking a dedicated and skilled Fire Alarm Engineer to join our team in our Nationwide Service & Projects department located in our Lowell, AR office. (We are open to remote candidates with the right experience.)
This role involves providing daily support for fire and burglar alarms, as well as some access control and paging/voice communication support. The ideal candidate will possess strong problem-solving abilities across a variety of components and systems, with opportunities to contribute to building a top-quality support team.

Qualifications:
- EST4 Certification is a plus, but not required.
- Proven field installation and service experience with fire alarm systems is essential.
- Proficient computer skills, including software knowledge in Microsoft Office, CAD, TeamViewer, RPS, Compass, and other relevant applications.
- Strong reading and comprehension skills for interpreting installation manuals and blueprints.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with a diverse range of personalities and skill levels.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically under pressure.
- Licenses and certifications such as Arkansas Alarm License, NICET, Bosch, Edwards, Kidde, S2, AXIS, etc., are a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Provide daily technical support for fire and burglar alarm systems, ensuring optimal performance and rapid response to issues.
- Assist with access control systems and paging/voice communication support as needed.
- Troubleshoot and resolve problems across a broad array of alarm components and systems.
- Engage in control panel programming, alarm system design, and documentation.
- Review inspection documentation for compliance and accuracy.
- Support training initiatives for new technicians, ensuring a high level of competency in system installation and maintenance.
- Collaborate with team members to enhance support operations and develop best practices.
