About The Role:
Our legal team is growing and we’re looking to bring on a motivated, detail-oriented commercial privacy junior legal counsel to our team.
In this role you will provide legal support to the global business and advise on privacy issues, commercial contracts and support corporate governance matters.
As the Junior Legal Counsel you will have the opportunity to develop expertise in the fast-evolving field of advertising technology, data privacy, commercial contracts, intellectual property and corporate governance.
This role will report into the General Counsel and is a hybrid role based in our Barcelona or Madrid office, where we encourage our teams to join us in office at least 1-2 days per week.
What you will do:
- Privacy:
- Advise on matters related to data protection and privacy laws, including GDPR, CCPA, and other global regulations
- Assist in drafting and reviewing privacy policies, terms of service, and data processing agreements
- Conduct privacy impact assessments and support the implementation of privacy by design and default principles
Monitor regulatory developments in privacy law and update internal stakeholders on compliance requirements
Commercial Contracts:
Provide legal support for contract management and ensure all contracts comply with company policies and legal requirements
Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial contracts, including client agreements, vendor contracts, licensing agreements, and partnership agreements
Assist in the development and implementation of contract templates and guidelines
Corporate and Governance Matters for Ogury Group:
Support the preparation and maintenance of corporate records, including board minutes, resolutions, and other governance documents
Assist in corporate compliance and governance activities, including annual filings, shareholder communications, and regulatory reporting
Provide legal support for corporate mattersAssist in the development and implementation of corporate policies and procedures
Legal Research and Advice:
Conduct legal research on relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards
Provide clear and concise legal advice to internal teams, including commercial, marketing, product development, and IT
Support the legal and compliance team in handling various legal, privacy and compliance matters and projects
Risk Management:
Identify potential legal risks and support implementing solutions to mitigate them
Assist in developing and maintaining compliance programs and training for employees
Collaboration and Communication:
Work closely with cross-functional teams to support legal and regulatory compliance
Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
What you will bring to Ogury:
- Prior experience working in a corporate legal setting, preferably with a focus in privacy, data protection, commercial contracts, corporate law or governance
- Experience within the AdTech industry or Technology sectors is a bonus
- Strong understanding of privacy laws and regulations, including GDPR and CCPA
- Excellent drafting, negotiation and communication skills
- Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail
- Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively in a evolving and dynamic environment
- Proactive approach with a willingness to learn and adapt responsibilities as needed
- Hold strong professional integrity and ethical standards
- Ability to work across multiple tasks with various stakeholders, holding and meeting deadlines
- English language working proficiency
