We carry multiple categories online including Beauty, Personal Care, Health, Baby, and Electronics. In this role the Manager, Merchandising will be accountable for improving conversion and engagement on the site to support the overall growth of the Shoppers Drug Mart eCommerce business. They will be responsible for site planning, analysis, and reporting while contributing to strategic planning and initiatives. This position will report to the Senior Manager, Ecommerce Merchandising.
What You’ll Do:
- Team Management
- Manage a team of Digital Merchandisers
Develop new processes and enhance existing ones to improve team efficiency
Product Content
Lead online product enrichment process with the support of a team Digital Merchandisers, while working with cross functional teams and vendor partners to launch new products on shoppersdrugmart.ca and the Shoppers Drug Mart app
Lead site audit process to ensure online product information and product merchandising are correct
Liaise with internal stakeholder and with vendors on key deliverables, problem solving, etc.
Digital Merchandizing
Optimize the customer experience throughout the path to purchase, including site navigation, product information, search, and site content
Lead on-site merchandising activities such as maintaining navigation, implementing redirects in search, improving site SEO, etc.
Ensure all products are strategically merchandised on the site in a visually pleasing way to optimize product performance, conversion & engagement
Leverage data, customer behavior and feedback to identify opportunities for business growth
Act as a key stakeholder to merchandising tools and liaise with technical teams to implement improvements and build new tools. Partner with Design, Product & Tech teams to prioritize, test and deliver improvements to customer experience
Reporting
Maintain & improve team dashboards used for tracking of new launches, etc.
Ad hoc Reporting as needed to support the business needs

- We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about retail and connecting customers with their favorite brands and products.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Commerce
- 4+ years experience in Ecommerce, Digital Merchandising
- Exceptional analytical skills and proven capability to independently work with relevant tools (Excel, other internal tools)
- Well organized and able to complete multiple tasks accurately under tight time constraints
- Ability to deal with ambiguity, self-organize and be proactive to complete multiple tasks on time with a clear focus on results
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to motivate and collaborate with a cross-functional team towards a common goal
- Experience in working with Digital merchandising tools, understanding data flow is an asset
- Previous experience in category management, retail, merchandise planning
