We are looking for a Senior Release Manager to join our Stockholm Studio, home to Rovio’s iconic game Angry Birds 2. In this role, you will be in charge of successful game releases, ensuring seamless coordination across various teams. You are known for your outstanding communication and collaborative skills and will work on bridging gaps between all our development functions to deliver high-quality updates and experiences to millions of players.

If you are inspired by refining and owning the release process in our Stockholm studio - we would love to talk to you!

You will have impact and fun at work by:

  • Leading the entire release lifecycle from planning to post-launch support, ensuring alignment across all involved teams working on Angry Birds 2
  • Shaping how we work with releases and getting the opportunity to holistically redefine what a release for Angry Birds 2 looks like
  • Defining the release roadmap, working in close partnership with product management to align release plans with overarching business goals
  • Mitigating risks by proactively identifying and addressing them as they arise, minimising reactive firefighting and code changes for the development team
  • Keeping track of release progress and providing analysis on key metrics and potential bottlenecks
  • Continuously improving our processes by establishing constant feedback loops within the teams; exploring better administrative and configuration tooling; and bringing your industry expertise

Experience and skills we are looking for:

  • Proven experience and success in managing the full release lifecycle for a game, preferably for multiple mobile titles
  • A deep understanding of the technical aspects of game releases such as build processes, version control systems, and deployment tools
  • Ability to collaborate and create alignment across teams with differing priorities and opinions
  • Exceptional communication and teamwork skills
  • Experience with supporting Live Operations of games and Project Management within games development will be seen favourably
