We're seeking a Senior Controls Engineer to lead our control systems development efforts and play a crucial role in shaping the future of our products. This is a hands-on position where you'll be deeply involved in both high-level architecture decisions and day-to-day implementation of control strategies.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement advanced control systems for our automated material handling solutions
- Develop and optimize industrial PLC's for control systems
- Collaborate closely with mechanical, electrical, and software teams to integrate control systems with hardware
- Lead the development of control algorithms for motion control, process control, and system automation
- Contribute to the product roadmap and technical strategy for control systems
- Ensure control system performance, reliability, and safety through rigorous testing and validation
- Participate in all stages of the control system development lifecycle, from conception to deployment and maintenance
- Work closely with the project implementation team to ensure smooth deployment and commissioning of systems at customer sites
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or related field
- 8+ years of professional experience in controls engineering
- Expertise in developing control systems for industrial machinery and automation
- Strong understanding of control theory, feedback systems, and industrial communication protocols
- Experience with industrial automation platforms (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Beckhoff)
- Familiarity with safety standards and regulations for industrial machinery
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team
